oh, re: the clearance of wait-lists for HKG

i was confirmed on the return leg on a Tuesday at time of request and got the outbound three days out for a Wednesday flight. it all depends on revenue management and when they decide to release seats. from the numerous threads on this that I read regarding this specific route, it appears that ex-EWR is a bit tougher to score the UG on Thurs + Fri and ex-HKG on Sundays.
