i used points on pre-fare adjustment B class tickets RT from EWR >< HKG this past December and as someone who has been flying to and from NA to HKG in coach for most of his life, flying in BF was quite a treat. you'll never go hungry, and the food was quite good, you can catch up on a bunch of movies you haven't had time to watch, you can stretch out and do work for a while too if you need to do that as well. the FAs i had were quite attentive both flights. i can generally sleep pretty well on planes even in coach, but the lie flats still made a huge difference for me.

one caveat is be mindful of your devices when in the lie-flats. my blackberry fell into seat crevice and had to ask one of the FAs to help me out to fish it out from behind the seat. i heard stories from them that occasionally devices get crunched in the power seat mechanisms. my bb will stay in my pocket or stowed away next time!

i got op-up'd on the HKG >>> SIN flight on UA on a 747 and went on the upper deck last summer in C, with what i recall were lie-flats too. it's just under a 4 hour flight so not to bad in E+ if you have access to that.
