I have a need to travel MEL - BKK - MEL sometime between now and February 2012, then subsequently a BKK - AMS - BKK flight is needed as well. I have no idea when, but I know I will have around one weeks notice.

Searching Thai Airways site they are not yet allowing bookings for the Feb 2012 period, and earlier flights seem very high in price. I want to take advantage of the strong $AUD and book it now, as I don't think it will last.

How can I best by a ticket with the following conditions:

1. Maximum flexibility with minimal booking change fees. I'm prepared to pay more for flexibility.
2. At least one weeks notice of a change.
3. Best price.
4. No destination change will be needed.
5. Book and pay now.
