As a stop gap measure you can buy a Prepaid Comet from TMobile and put your postpaid SIM in it. It is no G2, but it is Android 2.2, 3g, and a world phone. I bought one of a return bin, unlocked it, and use it with a European roaming SIM. It is pretty good. I am also going to see about getting a Wind prepaid SIM for Canada.
