Yes. My wife is afraid of flying and so it's pretty important for her to sit beside me. I've had to pay $150 to reserve 2 exit row economy seats cause they were the only ones left beside each other. I couldn't care less where I sit and I'd probably prefer the peace and quiet, but she doesn't give me the option.

EDIT. I just got the second email back from BA. This time they think that I'm saying that I didn't get an emailed receipt when I made my booking. The lack of understanding has me increasingly worried that having a booking without a ticket # is not a common thing, and that there's something wrong with my booking.
