In answer to your question, the suite: Entry hallway turned right into a living room or left into the bedroom, both with doors. Bathroom was in the middle. The two rooms were roughly the same size. A friend of mine had a large corner room which sounds like the one you are describing. I think they called it an Executive Suite. I would say the suite I had was maybe 20% larger in total space, but it was nice to have a separate space for the living room.
