Concierge letdown

With my brand new platinum card, I decided to call concierge to get some help with finding a restaurant.

I was on hold for five full minutes before I decided to hang up and try again.

The second time I got through quickly, and explained that I was looking for a restaurant between two particular points (I'm meeting a friend and we live about an hour from each other) so that it was convenient for both of us.

It's now a little after noon and the concierge told me they would get back to me by 3:00.

Wow...I think I can probably do this myself within the next half hour or so! For some reason, I thought it was the kind of thing that could be done on the phone. After all, I wasn't asking for a live elephant at my kid's party...
