I travelled with my hubby on WT+ back from EWR last month and we were glad we'd booked that cabin. We had actually booked it both ways but were lucky enough to get upgraded to Club on the way to EWR.
We had a night flight coming back so it was nice to be able to recline the seat a bit more, the cabin was very quiet, even though we were sitting by the toilets, there wasn't constant to-ing and fro-ing there. The food was ok, nice to have a proper glass and with having more leg room (& I'm only 5' tall, hubby being 5'10") it didn't matter that the people in front of us reclined from the minute they could until they had to put their seats upright for landing.
We also had baggage allowance of 2 x 23kg bags - handy for putting the additional shopping from NY in - but this may not matter to you.
I would certainly travel WT+ again if we couldn't afford club seats.
