HI looks good value though, glad its calm and nice. Yea sorry about the Sukhumvit question - i think I just read it runs all the way to cambodia!
also, not having been to the new BKK a ton; can I assume (and hope) arriving and departing F class passengers have some sort of priority lane?

It is the best location.
If you are considering the J W, then pricewise you can also look into the Intercontinental.... maybe Club rooms which give a good value... specially on the F&F rate.
Stayed at the HI Bkk in Oct 10. Booked Club room and got upgraded to the suite. The breakfast was provided in Cafe G instead of the Lounge. Excellent variety but crowded.
I would personally go for the HI or the IC depending on my budget....mainly due to location. Stayed at the JW few years back... its nice and loved the breakfast.
