if you're in the US just get your glasses online. I have been using eyebuydirect.com for a couple of years now. Frames there are a tiny fraction of the cost they are in shops. You can get rimless frames for less than $40 and if your prescription is simple the lenses are included in the price with small surcharges for coatings. The quality is exactly the same as LensCrafters or comparable places.
