This is very good advice. Make sure you check in for both your ABQ-LAX and LAX-OGG flights and get your boarding passes before you depart from ABQ. Try taking a look at the seatmap online about 24 hours before departure; some United Express carriers like SkyWest block the first row of seats until 24 hours before departure and then release them. Grab a seat in Row 1 and do not gate check any luggage as you'll waste time waiting for it when you land at LAX. Assume you will be arriving in Terrminal 8 and that the OGG flight is going to leave from one of the mid- to upper 70s gates so hang a hard left out of the gate and head over to T7. Check the monitors as you hustle over to verify your gate.
