If you do want to stop at Bloomies, the easiest subway option is probably the E from Sutphin/Archer to Queens Plaza (~ a 20-minute ride), and then the R train (on the local track) one stop to Lexington Avenue/59th (~ a 5-minute ride).
Absolutely. Got to get you off that F train mentality, monitor. Remember, when you transfer across the platform from the E, make sure you're getting on an R train. It does share the track with the G and the M. (The M is what the F used to be a few years back. Before the M, there was the V. Before the V, it was the F doing the 6th Ave local crossing into Queens via 53rd St. )

Look at your watch when you swipe your metrocard before entering the subway. Then know that you have 2 hours to get that free 3rd Ave bus transfer. There should be plenty of M101s, M102s and M103s but just leave an extra few minutes in case the traffic is bumper to bumper with no buses in sight.

Or....you could walk to 77th St. Think a block per minute when you're walking so from 59th St., it's just 18 minutes assuming you don't window shop.
