Now, to be fair, on the CRJ100 the luggage compartment might have more legroom than seats in the passenger cabin. And the sandbags may offer more padding that those seats.
If the hold is kept at a livable temperature, I really think that it would be a more comfortable ride than the cabin on a barbie jet.
