[QUOTE=mad_atta;16052186]Hi

I'm looking for flights between Guatemala City and Flores. The TACA site quotes US$140 one way / $250 round trip, which seems a lot for a 160 mile flight in a developing country. Are there any cheaper options for purchasing these (e.g. a local website?) or should I just pay up and shut up?

thanks .

You can sign up for their Visa card and get 20,000 miles with first purchase. Last time I checked, that route was going for 9000 miles round trip, so you could get 2 free tickets. Just cancel the card before renewal to avoid the fee. First year is fee free. BTW, when I flew that route it was $99 each way which was still slightly high for what is a 22 minute flight. Just goes to show what a complete lack of competition will do for certain routes.
