If you prefer VS, as you've said you do, perhaps it might be best to stick with the airline you love rather than one you clearly hate.

I don't love any airline. I will fly with whoever offers the best schedule/price in the class I want to travel. Service on VS is much much better than BA at the moment (this has only changed in the last 6 months mind) but unfortunately they don't have as big a route network. Their lounges are far better, better looking crew
also the food on VS is now way better. The best airline I've been on recently was Kingfisher.
BA are very arrogant at times and think they are way way better than they actually are. I have had some good flights on BA but unfortunately this was a long time ago.
