Rubbish. It's very clear that it's not to be sat on. How do you know? Because there's a great big sign that says footstool, please do not use as a seat. How much clearer do you need it to be.
And it is fit for purpose ........ as a footstool - which is exactly what it says it is.

If you prefer VS, as you've said you do, perhaps it might be best to stick with the airline you love rather than one you clearly hate.
