I understand that all too well. But they should be honest, up front. If they bother to release to the media, "no change penalties", they should be honest enough to also say, "but you will pay hundreds more in fare differentials". They are trying to make out like they are being sympathetic to travlers, when they are just padding their pocketbooks.
Yes, it may be legitimate effeciency but effeciency shouldn't cost travelers, when it's Delta's choice.
