I think maybe people are getting the upgrade because they are bidding too high in the 3* category. If one starts low and works up a dollar at a time this could help.

I didn't review a bunch of the reportings in betterbidding, but suspect a couple reports of upgrades is starting sort of an avalanche? Worth checking more carefully, IMHO.

I did just report getting the Hilton, but I was bidding 3 1/2* at the time. NOT an upgrade.
