This is what the intro to 'About A-club' says:
Earn A|Club points the fast way You earn A|Club points at more than 2300 hotels. Points never expire!
So there we go, it says points never expire. It seems they do in the case of the person above!
As u said thats an intro and so its advertising to catch the attention of the client..There are miniscule T&C's mentioned below that u need a stay every 12months to get the same extended.. so this can never be called forever..

Something like saying , get this CC and ur miles never expire.. and then promote the main FF program as miles never expire !!!
But to the OP -- unfortunately this is the rule and when u signed for the program, u accepted the T&C's however wrong the advertisement or T&C's are..
