A friend missed a return flight SFO-LHR yesterday and failed to notify BA beforehand.

Is it possible to get a refund for any portion of the fare or taxes, fees, YQ etc?

The fare was an OCRCUK9, apparently pretty restrictive but I don't know all the details.

A call to BA yielded a flat "no refund" at all. But typically some elements of the total cost is refundable regardless of the reasons for a no-show. When prodded further I was told to email customer relations.

I don't fly BA often so I can't provide much BA specific info to my friend.

Anybody out there with more specific info on this?
