I'm resurrecting this thread as I just returned from Winnipeg where I actually stayed at both the airport Four Points and the downtown Sheraton.
In case anyone else is going to Winnipeg - it's no contest - the 4 Points wins, hands down!!!
It's probably one of the nicest 4 Points I've ever stayed at. It is literally 25 steps from the baggage claim to the front desk. New, clean, friendly. The room looked more like a full service Sheraton. I had a refrigerator, wet bar, 2 robes and full amenities. Also a vcr in everyroom with a full library at the desk of FREE videos. I would stay there again in an instant. Highly recommend.
The downtown Sheraton is nice, but older. Parking was $10 CAD. Room not as nice as the 4 points and the neighborhood is a bit rough.
