The staff at UME can definitely check your luggage to ORK, it can be done manually.
If a check-in system refuses to tag a bag the way the agent wants they can manually create a tag, pretty much like typing a Word document.
I really can't see this being an issue.

When does BA OLCI close? How many hours before departure?
If you check-in online at BA.com after you have checked in at UME for the SAS flight, then there should be no problem.
The only thing you have to do at ARN is to ask a gate/check-in/ticketing agent to enter the baggage number in the reservation.
