Anyone else seeing at least semi-controlled panic right now in China? Some data points:

1. All of my office workers have been sending emails around with all these charts about radiation exposure and reminding me to wear a mask and not go outside or open windows. (all coworkers are Chinese)
2. I know of a handful of European expats who have returned to Europe from Shanghai in fear of radiation exposure
3. Every cab driver is listening to endless loops of radio news about the earthquake
4. People talking about the 2012 doomsday like mad.

My heart goes out to the folks in Japan, but I also think the Asian panic rumor factor is quite interesting. Anyone else?
