Each hotel under the Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide banner is rated according to customer satisfaction on a monthly basis. A lot of different information from many different sources goes into calculating a property's monthly Guest Satisfaction Index (GSI) score and the results are forwarded to the various EVP's, SVP's, and VP's in charge of the different brands/regions so some guidance in both improvement or commendation can be sent to the management of a particular property.
How can you help? Well, filling out a survey about your stay when you are sent one is one way. You can also fill a Guest Comment card during the stay as well. Another way would be to call Hotel Customer Service at 800-328-6242 or send them an email at
[email protected] whenever you encounter an exceptionally well-run hotel. Yes, they also handle customer complaints, but they have the ability to relay compliments as well.
Personally, I don't know what the GSI scores are for the Sheraton San Cristobal, Chile. I could probably ask someone if it is really important for you to know, but I would imagine from your comments and those of some others I have heard, the hotel is probably scoring very high.
