To be honest there isn't much difference between the two but personally I would fly LX for shorter flying time, better showers for a good wash after each long-haul and consistent service.
I have opposite experience. Tried LX HKG-ZRH-CPH LAX-ZRH-CPH and TK HKG-IST-CPH. Both Mr. Nacho and I agreed that TK Y is half a class better than LX Y.
Our recent trip with LX was so bad that we are willing to fly further to change in IST if we ever go to LA and also willing to pay $100 more for TK.
LX is good in C with their new C but they have forgotten about Y. Old aircraft, old equipment. We had a IFE with B&W screen, seats broken during during return LAX-ZRH. Service is ok but TK uses better product. Just the amenity kit for TK Y looks nicer than the one on LX C.
I think LX is very focus on their C and F. So you won't get much out of LX Y. On the other hand TK is expanding, and they are not as savvy as LX. So in my opinion you get more out of TK Y than LX Y.
