I had received the 7-10 day message last Thursday. I thought ok denial. I called their application status number (1-888-757-3344) yesterday and the message said my application was still being reviewed. I call again this morning and heard words "approved." It took 3 business days but it looks like I am in.
Ok, I called that number and it did take me to Canada's Cap.1 dpt. I called from my home phone. I then was transferred to the US and after asking to check on my status he took a look and had me verify my address. Then he said that after they made corrections to the app it'll take up to 3 weeks to finish processing the application.
In the meantime, there's the number if anyone wants to call and check on their status:1800 955 7070 and ask for credit services(that's what I was told).
