When I was on the phone with the rep who said none available, I re-entered my search request and 4 room 'types' were all available at the internet prepaid rate, each for $409. A Wonderful room (double or King) and a Spectacular room (double or King). Indeed, now, they are not there.

But, even after getting off the phone I checked and they still came up. It is possible each of those 4 room types were booked in the last 6 hours. But odd, to say the least.

William - based on what I described, should have a room been available for award redemption? What does the W Union Square offer for 'no blackout/capacity controll-free' award redemption (Wonderful, Spectacular, etc.?)

As a side note, I have been able get a nonsmoking/2 doubles room at the W Court with points for that weekend, so that's great. The reservation confirmation shows the room type as "Spectacular" and 450 Sq. Ft. That's a step above the standard "Wonderful" room, so I'm quite pleased. I like the Court property's rooms better, although I prefer the Union Square location.
