(bump... Kirpan)

I was wondering about this - for a year (2008) I commuted to Mumbai. I'll always remember the sign at security saying that absolutely no weapons are allowed, etc. etc. "except for a kirpan with a blade of up to 6 inches" (or was it cm ?) for Sikhs.

I wonder if Sikhs can still board international flights out of Mumbai with a kirpan ?
