My husband and have stayed in hotels and motels for approximately 30 days per year for 40 years and have never had such a horrible experience as we did on our most recent stay at Hyatt Place in Plantation, FL (beginning of March 2011). Our room was searched by the housekeeping staff and it is the General Manager's (Chris Powers) policy to do this to save the hotel money to prevent the guests from pilfering supplies from their rooms. I wrote to Hyatt's CEO, Chief Operating Officer - North America and Corporate Secretary. I also sent a note to Hyatt Customer Service. Hopefully, someone will put an end to the horrific practices at the Hyatt Place in Plantation, FL.
