Whoever clicks "send" first (from the server's perspective) will get the cheaper fare. The rest will get a notice that the fare has increased.
I tried that once (I flew to YYT ahead of my wife, so I booked a pair of return tickets simultaneously on two machines) and I got stuck with a higher fare than she did.
