A few days ago when checking into HR SF (Embarcadero) I asked to use a Platinum Certificate due to expire March 31 for upgrade to the RC. The front desk employee said that due to the strict California laws regarding expirations on things like gift certificates, etc, that my certificate "would always be honored here" even after the printed expiration date. I thanked her for the info, but still used the certificate anyway.

A friend of mine has a certificate expiring June 30 and would, if possible, like to use it at a different CA location later on this Fall. Can I " take to the bank" her words, or was she just being overly accomodating and nice?
