Stayed at both and think the JW superior to the Renaissance for both lounge and breakfast
Be forewarned that the "red shirt" activists still occupy a portion of Rajaprasong twice a month if you're thinking of staying at the Ren.

How does the lounge compare to other Bangkok marriot's? Mainly drink offerings/breakfest and evening snacks? Do other hotels give you the full breakfest buffet if your a plat (along with you guests since i will have more then 1 room)? Need to work out my options but it seems the priorities would be breakfest and lounge offerings for the hotel.
