I always do the KCAT. Their min is 3 hours before hand. Although security and passport control aren't bad at ICN, I'd say be at the airport 2 hours before at a minimum. In addition, ICN is a ways out of the city, and can take 15.-2.5 hours (depending on traffic) to get there. I'd say use the KCAT, it's a cheap way to get from Gangnam to ICN and saves you the checkin/passport control hassles at ICN so you can go right to a special security lane for KCAT users that I've never seen a line for.
