Quidco Cashback on Eurostar redemptions!
I always use Quidco when booking Eurostar tickets to get 4% cashback. Last month I booked a one-way ticket on Eurostar using my Frequent Traveller points - inadvertently via Quidco. I redeemed 1250 points on a Business Premier ticket and the following day noticed £50 cashback had been tracked (date and time was exact as when I made the redemption). The day after it was validated.
Now £50 is a lot when the cashback rate is only 4%. That puzzled me. Then today as I checked my Quidco account I put two and two together. Literally. £50 is 4% of £1250. Eurostar's booking procedure is exactly the same for redemptions as it is for revenue bookings. Instead of £ they just use points. So I got £50 cashback on a redemption of 1250 points.
If I'd known this before I would be quids in by now!!! Any Frequent Travellers out there please use Quidco for Eurostar redemptions.
Can mods not move this to the European Rail forum as I don't want Eurostar to know about this please. There are lurkers over on that forum.
