In the UK, Bank of America is the issuer of the Virgin Atlantic and BMI co-branded cards, but the British Airways cards are issued directly by American Express.
Interesting that both the
Virgin Atlantic and
BMI cards have a "member since" date despite being issued and managed by MBNA. But the question is - a "member" of what exactly? Of Amex or of the card in question or of the airline's frequent flyer scheme?
