It is my understanding that Aeroplan Marketing Department (as opposed to Aeroplan itself) does indeed process comps (in batches). Though I must say; I too wonder why you would want one? I would imagine it will take more time and energy than it's worth. The benefits are negligible and the service is mediocre at best. Redemptions are a rip-off on many routings and there are no tier bonuses. If you want recognition and decent service I would avoid AC and look elsewhere. As an Elite this year, the only real benefit was the ability to get through on the phone. And the fact that is considered a *benefit* at AC should tell you something about how they treat their customers.
