I'm curious to find out because as you probably have heard, QF have rolled out Next Generation Check-in (NGCI) at PER, MEL and SYD T3 domestic operations.
I like the NZ system - nice and easy.
Also, as others have noted, the 'single-station' NZ version does have a distinct advantage over the QF 'two-station' version if you're checking bags, and the NZ ePass is just easier than inserting a QF card too.
But! At MEL the two-station solution is a very very small extra price to pay, IMHO, for what has become an exponentially better QF check-in experience overall. i.e. Prior to NGCI I thought MEL had about the most inefficient check-in process I have ever had the misfortune of experiencing. Now it's just so much more civilised ...
