Agree with the comments above, where I often see multiple staff behind the desk but they totally ignore other pax in the queue while they talk amongst themselves. I'm often left wondering if I'm invisible
I prefer to use the self check kiosks but I often have to use the desk as I check in with excess baggage. Perhaps it's the early hour at which I'm checking in (usually 5.15am for NZ401) but that's no excuse for being rude to pax.
A few of the "premium" desk staff need to take some lessons from the team that man the valet parking desk. They are always so polite and go out of there way to help me out, even though I'm probably one of their more difficult customers with some of my requests
