Count TG on that list. From my experience they have consistently good saver availability in both F and J class.

Now if only they will move the A380 to my flights!!
That is exactly what happened to me. As part of a larger itinerary I booked LH FRA-JFK in F back in September 2010. Low and behold they put a A380 on that route a few months later. So on July 4th I will be coming back to the USA on the A380 seated in 1A… ^

It was not always such a cut and dry decision. First the equipment swap was rumored, and then the Qantas A380 had the engine failure. And in reality wouldn’t the EWR routed LH 346 with the 1-2-1 F seat setup actually be preferred to the 744 UD 2-2 seat setup, which I already had booked on two other legs?

Well the FRA-JFK route went to the A380 and the 744 is down to 8 seats in F, so I am very happy the way it worked out... And what was the value for this redemption? Today on the Lufthansa website the ticket cost $21,186. The total amount of miles redeemed was 145,000 and the taxes were $120. So net/net the value was about 14.5 cents per mile.
