I am aware of these new upgrade fares that Delta has and I had one last month to Florida. On that trip I was ticketed H and booked A. I was credited with 150% actual miles and MQM's. Under the description of my miles it shows class paid A flown A.

Well, on this recent trip to DTW the outbound was not credited with 150% miles or MQM's. The description shows paid H flown D.
I called Delta for an explanation and the agent said that the ticket is actually a coach class with upgrade at time of booking if available, but since it was ticketed as an H fare, there would be no 150% bonus miles or MQM's, only actual miles for credit.
Ok fine, I figured that was the case. She also said that the Florida trip last month should not have been credited with the 150% either and said it was a mistake, but she would not retract the miles on my account and let those miles stand. She went on to explain that there are higher fares that will also book into P class such as the M fare, but that fare gives you the 150% bonus. She agreed that it is confusing and many customers have called for explanations or to complain about this same situation.

Today, my return flight from DTW to SAN was credited and to my surprise the 150% bonus miles were there. It shows paid P flown P. But again the fare basis was HE00A0NQ/WNUP. I realize that this might be another glitch in my favor so I hesitate to call Delta and inquire for fear that they might retract the bonus miles.

Hopefully someone here can help me out. What is the story with these fares? How am I supposed to know which flights are going to be credited at 150% and which won't? I'm aware of the economy fares that offer the bonus such as Y, B, M and which fares don't, like the H fare, but it seems that DL is not following there own rules on milage accrual.

As someone who tracks MQM's, like many of us do, I would like to know how to proceed for this and my future bookings. I would like to know how many miles I will get before I travel.

Any help or suggestions on how to proceed would be appreciated.
