Just the standard (new) advice here: Redeem for WGA only, and pay for full fare if you ever need to fly on short notice.

I would not keep 2 credit cards. More profitable is to alternate between spouses every 14 months or so, provided that you still get the sign-up bonuses each time. That has been working for me as recently as January. Wait for the most generous sign-up deal and jump on it, which you can't do unless you canceled that person's card 6 to 12 months ago (guesses about this time limit vary).
