Which side are you on? From the seatmaps I've seen, only the D armrest (in non exit rows) is movable; the B side one is not.
The "unmovable" armrests can be raised by engaging the release mechanism (see below) except for seats when the tray tables are in the armrests (i.e., exits and bulkheads).

Under the airsle armrest near the back where it joins the seat, you will find a cog or a slot. I think you pull the cog or slotted moving thingy forward and push up the armrest to allow it to rise.
On the MD it's a button (back underside of armrest)
