I have a very newbie question about starpoints to airline miles transfer.

On the *wood website, it says "Award can only be redeemed with Starpoints earned at Starwood Preferred Guest participating hotels or Preferred Guest earning partners."

Can I transfer the 50K bonus to airlines?
