The credit team at barclays is pretty disappointing from my personal experience.

I was rejected initially, great fico and credit profile. I work in the financial industry and put my legal employer name which included the work securities. The team that rejected me told me that I couldn't possibly make so much as a security guard so I was rejected. After clarifying my story with them they approved me for their plat card.
