The option of a bottle of water instead of a tiny glass would be very welcome. You get more bang for your buck and can keep drinking during take off, ascent etc. I find the little glasses used on board for water and soft drinks incredibly prissy and borderline useless.

I have asked for a bottle in the past but the reaction varies from of course to huff.
