I think I read something like that on FT, but can't find it anymore... is it true that to renew elite (Silver to be exact) status in BAEC I need less miles than I need to achieve it? How much (EU-based)?

And second question - can I use AA Admirals Club when traveling domesticaly (in the US) on economy ticket with Silver BAEC card?
