I've brought my kids in many times on the pass. I've never had to give certificates for the kids. I think I've done it 3 times - of various ages 1-4. In fact - two of those times, I handed them two certificates for my wife and myself and they gave me one back.

This is the YYZ T1 USA departures MLL. I've always tried to keep them in a corner. There's a little quiet games room there with a game system. But, my kids were too young. My two year old at one point loved to go up and down the ramp. I felt a little bad, but everyone around us were smiling, she was not yelling and I thought it was better for everyone to tire herself out there before the 5 hour flight anyway.
