Business "Not So Premier" Experience
Dear everyone, I recently flew NRT-AKL-NRT in Business Premier and I was utmost disappointed. The crew on the outbound leg was without a doubt the most inefficient one I have had on any airline (it took them almost 3 hours to serve a simple dinner), but to be fair, most of them were quite old and some even had trouble walking. On the return, the crew was quite friendly and highly efficient, especially the Inflight Services Manager.
The meals served on both flights were awful from start to finish. Here are a few examples: terrible starter, chicken entree, and rock-hard ice cream on the NRT-AKL leg (I asked the crew if they would kindly heat my ice cream and they said no) and cheap-tasting pancakes for my breakfast entree and bad quality starter and meat entree for the second service on the AKL-NRT leg.
As it has been reported by other flyers, the amenity kit issue is inconsistent. The old grey bags were handed out betwen NRT and AKL, but the return flight out of AKL actually had the new boxes.
Not sure I would ever fly NZ long-haul J again.
