thanks for the offer - I thankfully have full internet connectivity and have been in plenty of contact! the usual suspects (read parents) are very worried, but there's not a lot that can be done while we are here. Not like I can get to an airport or anything

Anyways, as I posted over on the UA forum, seeing the picutres of the cars on the higway trying to outrun the tsunami, without sucess, puts the relative safety of tokyo into perspective. hearts go out to the victims.
