I know it does. During our HKG --> JFK leg last December, the J Purser came up and offered free MPC Green to me since she saw on the manifest that I only had an Asia Miles account. She even (and I don't know how) did a missed miles request for that leg through MPC although it didn't work as I was on an award ticket.
